Villa Marconi offers the following on-site services to its residents:
We have 3 physicians who visit our home. We also have 24 hour on call services.
For the convenience of our Residents, simple laboratory tests may be conducted in the Centre directly. A local laboratory will forward the results to the Resident's physician and nursing staff.
Arrangements may be made for dental visits through the Charge Nurse when necessary. We recommend an annual examination by a Dentist for all Residents. Villa Marconi has an arrangement with a Portable Dental Clinic who will visit the Home as requested. Services are billed directly to the responsible party.
All meals are prepared fresh, daily in the main kitchen. Special diets and therapeutic diets are prepared as required.
Housekeeping services are operational seven days a week. Personal laundry is collected on a daily basis.
Villa Marconi provides full nursing care seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
Medications and refills are sent directly to Villa Marconi from our Pharmacist for the residents.
Physiotherapy and rehabilitation services are provided to Residents who require this service as directed by their physicians. These services are provided within Villa Marconi .
The focus of this program is to enhance the quality of the Resident's life by increasing maintaining or restoring functions or capabilities. Components of the program include ambulation, restorative feeding and assistance with activities of daily living. All Residents are assessed by our team to develop an individualized program.
Specialized Foot Care Services provided by a Registered Nurse may be purchased and billed directly to the responsible party.
For the convenience of our Residents, a mobile x-ray service is used so this can be done in the comfort of the Resident's room.
Hair care services are provided through the Beauty Salon at Villa Marconi. The family or Resident may make appointments directly with the Receptionist who will ensure that the Hairdresser/Barber is informed. Prices and hours of service are posted in the salon and payment for these services can be made through a Resident's Trust Fund account if or paid in advance at booking.
The Gift Shop is on the main floor and is open for self-serve 7 days a week. An assortment of snack foods and beverages can be purchased for your convenience. Each Wednesday afternoon, from 1:30-3:30pm, members of the Residents' Council work in the Gift Shop, selling a variety of articles, including greeting cards, toiletries, and other popular items.
